Earlier this year, Shonel texted us on Instagram with a very special mission. She wanted to become the fastest woman ever to cycle around Australia.

This journey is about so much more than just breaking a world record. Through every kilometre she rides, Shonel will be raising awareness for suicide prevention and mental health.

From the moment we hear her story, we knew we wanted to be a part of her mission. Her drive, dedication and commitment to make a positive impact aligns well with what BCA stands for.

To support her journey we provided Shonel with a fully converted camper van, giving her a reliable home on the road while she takes on one of the biggest adventures of her life.

What does the route look like?

Shonel is starting her journey in Sunshine Coast, surrounded by golden beaches, before heading north through Queensland's tropical rainforests.

From there, she'll travel across the Northern Territory, experiencing some of Australia's most remote landscapes, before continuing through the stunning scenery of Western Australia. 

The adventure then takes her across Victoria and Melbourne before returning back to Sunshine Coast.

How are bca supporting shonel?

Looking at the route, it's easy to see why having a reliable vehicle is so important. With thousands of kilometres ahead and long stretches between destinations, Shonel needed a setup she could trust every step of the way.

Because she'll be living on the road for several months, comfort and practicality were just as important as reliability. That's why we customised a van around her specific needs, creating a space that feels like home while giving her the confidence to explore Australia's most remote and spectacular locations.
